Step-by-Step Guide: How to Make Voice and Video Calls on Telegram (Android/iOS/Desktop Version/Web Version)

    

        Telegram is a freeware, cloud-based instant messaging service. Since Its launch, Telegram has become one of the most secure messaging services where Telegram messages are highly encrypted and Telegram delivers messages faster than any other application.

Few months back Telegram added Voice and Video Calling support to its application. Telegram Voice and Video Calls have the same end-to-end encrypted protection as messages.

One of the best features in this voice and video call of Telegram is that it supports PiP (Picture-in-Picture) mode. This feature helps you to access other apps or messages without any interruption of an ongoing call. 

For Video Calls, Telegram doesn’t support group video calling. However, the Telegram Company has promised to add a group video calling feature in the coming months. 

Currently, Telegram Voice and Video calls are supported only for mobile devices. Web Version and Desktop version of Telegram, yet to support Voice and Video calling feature to these versions. Voice and Video calling feature is not directly visible to you when you open the Telegram application.

> Open the Telegram app.

> Tap on the Chat of your contact whom you want to call.

> Now, tap on Profile.

> Here in the profile section, you see the contact’s mobile number and also a Voice and Video Call button.

> To make a Call tap on the icon and select which call you want to do.

This is how you can make Voice and Video Calls on Telegram.

 

How to Clear Call History in Telegram App:

> Open the Telegram App.

> Tap on the 3-lined icon and then tap on calls.

> Here you can see your call history. To clear call history long tap on any call and click on the delete option.

You can clear Call History in the Telegram app by using the above steps.

 

Step-by-Step Guide to Make Voice and Video Calls on Telegram Desktop Version:

> Open the Telegram app on your PC/Laptop.

> Open the chat of a person, whom you want to call.

> On the Chat window, you will see a call icon on top of the screen.

> Click on the Call Icon.

> The Telegram application will make a voice call to the contact. If you want to start a video call, tap on the video button.
